Where it is used

Zinc dust is widely used to purify and remove impurities in hydrometallurgical zinc production and in gold cyanidation, in the smelting of zinc, gold, silver, indium, platinum and other non-ferrous metals, and in the integrated recovery of rare and precious metals, where it drives cementation and purification.

Why Welllink zinc dust

  • High-purity grades hold metallic zinc steadily above 96%; standard grades run at 88% to 93%, balancing performance against overall value. Alloyed grades containing activating elements such as lead or antimony can be made to order to raise reactivity when removing cobalt and nickel.
  • Good flowability and a moderate specific surface area combine fast dispersion with efficient reaction, helping to lower zinc consumption per metric ton.
  • Grades can be customized to the process, striking a suitable balance between dispersion and settling so cementation stays efficient and consumption low.
  • Suits many kinds of metallurgical reduction: it removes copper, cadmium, cobalt and nickel thoroughly and recovers gold, silver, indium and other precious metals efficiently, cutting cost and raising output.
